Lee Shearer, M.D.
Dr. Lee Shearer is an academic general internist practicing at the Weill Cornell Internal Medicine Associates Helmsley Tower location. She specializes in Adolescent and Young Adult health.
Dr. Lee Shearer’s clinical practice focuses on Adolescent and Young Adult health. She believes that health and habits established during the formative adolescent and young adult years have critical importance for well-being later in life. She focuses on this population and their special health needs, including menstrual and reproductive health, preventive health, chronic diseases, and the successful transition from Pediatric to Adult medical care. Her commitment is to providing high-quality comprehensive primary care.
A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Harvard, Dr. Shearer earned her M.D. at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Her post-doctoral training included residency in Primary Care Internal Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell and fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital –Columbia. She served as Chief Resident for the Weill Cornell Internal Medicine residency program.
Dr. Shearer joined the faculty at Weill Cornell Medical College in 2013 and is heavily involved in medical education, currently acting as Co-Director of the Primary Care Internal Medicine residency track and Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine training program. She is fluent in Spanish.
