Biographical Info

Joshua Weaver, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology at Weill Cornell Medical College and Assistant Attending Neurologist at New York Presbyterian Hospital.  He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College with a bachelor's degree in Cognitive Neuroscience, then received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  He completed his internship and neurology residency, also serving as Chief Resident, at Weill Cornell/New York Presbyterian Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering.  This was followed by a Clinical Neurophysiology fellowship with a subspecialty focus in electromyography and neuromuscular disease.  

Dr. Weaver has a particular interest in peripheral neuropathy and spinal disorders.  He cares for patients with a wide variety of general neurological disorders as well, and has developed a holistic and integrative approach to treating patients.  Dr. Weaver completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine in 2020, and he offers a broad array of evidence-based treatment options that includes both conventional and complementary approaches.  He is triple board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and the American Board of Integrative Medicine. 

 

Passionate about medical education, Dr. Weaver teaches residents and medical students and is the Neurology Clerkship Director.
