David Adam Cohen, M.D.
Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism
Dr. David A. Cohen currently serves as Assistant Professor of Medicine and Attending Physician at the Weill Cornell Medical College, where he specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of various disorders of the endocrine system.
He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received his medical degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. During his dual residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at The Mount Sinai Hospital, Dr. Cohen served as chief resident, practiced global health in post-earthquake Haiti, and was awarded the Arnold P. Gold Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award. As a clinical fellow in Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism at the University of Southern California, Dr. Cohen did research in thyroid and adrenal diseases and lectured on calcium/metabolic bone disease (including vitamin D) and HIV-related endocrine illnesses.
Dr. Cohen is fluent in Spanish and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and is Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
Dr. Cohen practices Endocrinology at Primary Care's new practice at 2315 Broadway at 84th Street two days per week (Monday and Tuesday), and sees patients in the Endocrinology Division practices the remainder of the week.
