Personal Statement

Laura Sickles M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College, and an Assistant Attending Psychiatrist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Sickles specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a range of psychiatric disorders and psychological issues in children, adolescents, and adults. With expertise in both psychopharmacology and psychotherapeutic techniques, Dr. Sickles takes a collaborative approach and provides individualized, compassionate, comprehensive, and evidence based treatment.

Biographical Info

Dr. Sickles graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology. She went on to receive her M.D. from Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. She completed her residency training in adult psychiatry at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine, and completed her fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital’s combined program of Columbia and Cornell Universities, where she served as one of the chief residents. She is available for diagnostic consultations, medication management, and psychotherapy with children, teenagers, adults, and their families.
