Biographical Info

Dr. Gadani Patel is an assistant professor of clinical pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine and an assistant  pediatrician at Komansky Children’s Hospital at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital.  She also serves as Associate Medical Director for Inpatient Pediatrics.  A pediatric hospitalist in the general pediatrics and well-baby units, Dr. Gadani Patel cares for patients of all ages, from newborns to adolescents.  

Dr. Gadani Patel completed her B.S.in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention at the University of Southern California, where she also received her Master of Public Health (M.P.H.). After receiving her medical degree (M.D) from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine (St. Maarten), Dr. Gadani Patel went on to complete her residency in Pediatrics at the University of California-San Francisco Central California. She is board certified in General Pediatrics.

In addition to her clinical role, Dr. Gadani Patel serves on the Department of Pediatrics’ Quality and Patient Safety Significant Events committee. She is actively involved in medical education for the Pediatric Medical Student Clerkship and Physician Assistant Program. She completed the Weill Cornell Leadership in Academic Medicine Program in 2020 where she has been working on a QI project focusing on neonatal hypoglycemia in high risk neonates. Her interests lie in furthering her involvement in medical education, quality improvement, and expanding the Pediatric Hospitalist Clinical Pathway database.
