Personal Statement

It is a privilege to provide comprehensive care for adolescent patients as they transition from childhood to adulthood. I am committed to teaching our residents and students about the unique health care needs of adolescents. I am fortunate to be a part of an outstanding health care team who respects and advocates for issues related to adolescent health.  

Biographical Info

Dr. Jane Chang is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Associate Attending Pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. She is board-certified in pediatrics and has a subspecialty board certification in Adolescent Medicine. Dr. Chang is the Section Chief of Adolescent Medicine in the Division of General Pediatrics. 

Dr. Chang received her B.A. in Human Biology from Brown University and her M.D. from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She remained in New York City to complete a post-doctoral fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore. Since joining the Department of Pediatrics in 2005, Dr. Chang has led interdisciplinary programs on Helmsley Tower 5 including the Teen Parenting Program, Health for Life, and founded the Compass Program for transgender and gender diverse youth. Dr. Chang is a dedicated educator and mentor to medical students, residents, and fellows. She leads community engagement initiatives and has presented research and educational workshops at numerous national meetings.
