Personal Statement

As an intensivist with a multidisciplinary background, Dr. Owyang serves the Weill Cornell Medicine community as a member of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. His passions focus on critical care delivery across departments as he studies ventilator management and ECMO use in emergency departments and the ICUs. To this end, he is able to pursue his interests in heart-lung interactions, ventilator management and mechanical circulatory support/ECMO within the Weill Cornell community as well as in collaboration across various systems.

Biographical Info

Dr. Owyang is an intensivist and serves as Assistant Professor of Medicine within the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He also holds an appointment as Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine within the Department of Emergency Medicine. Prior to returning to NYC where he finished residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, he trained in critical care medicine at Stanford in CA.
