The Child Protection Team at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center evaluates children who are suspected victims of physical and sexual abuse.  The program, which is funded through gifts and grants, is an Associate of the National Children's Alliance and a multi-borough Child Advocacy Center.

The team's patient population resides in the city's five boroughs.   Many of the children treated are patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit or the William Randolph Hearst Burn Unit, the busiest burn intensive care unit in the country.

The Child Protection team is regularly consulted by the Office of the District Attorney and the Office of Administration for Children's Services to evaluate difficult and challenging cases.
