Alexandra DeGeorge, M.Ed., Psy. D.
Alexandra DeGeorge, M.Ed., Psy.D. is a clinical psychologist with expertise in diagnostic assessment and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders, cognitive behavioral interventions for children and adolescents with anxiety and mood disorders, and has been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for adolescents. Dr. DeGeorge is a psychologist at the Center for Autism and the Developing Brain in addition to her private practice.
Dr. DeGeorge received her B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University and M.Ed. in Learning Cognition, and Development at the Graduate School of Education at Rutgers University. She completed her M.S. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Developmental Disabilities at Long Island University, CW Post Campus. Dr. DeGeorge completed her internship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in the clinical child track and completed her postdoctoral fellowship in the Institute for Anxiety and Mood Disorders at the NYU Child Study Center.
Dr. DeGeorge was previously a Clinical Assistant Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the NYU Child Study Center, where she was the Clinical Director of the Autism Spectrum Disorders Program and Program Coordinator of the Adolescent DBT program.
