Biographical Info

Dr. Silvera obtained his B.A. from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1977.   He received his medical degree in 1982 from Meharry College in Nashville, Tennessee where he graduated with honors.  He received the Human Physiology Award and was awarded membership in the AOA Honor Medical Society. Dr. Silvera completed his Residency in Internal Medicine as well as a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Beth Israel Medical Center.A Brooklyn native, Dr. Silvera currently resides there with his wife and family.  He practices both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at Horizon Medical Group.
